Bio

Born in Cholet (France) in 1984, Florian Gaborit, also known as Flog, discovered a passion for drawing at an early age. Naturally, this led him to study graphic design at the Pivaut School in Nantes, where he began shaping his artistic career.

From illustration to publishing, Flog has consistently found balance in creating artworks across various media. Influenced by graffiti and pop culture, his mixed techniques—aerosol spray, acrylic, and oil on canvas—showcase precise gestures and meticulous attention to detail. His work is distinguished by its rich back- grounds, reflections, and layers of transparency.

Beyond technique, Flog’s artistic universe is subtle, romantic, dreamlike, sarcastic—sometimes even unsettling. The context of each scene is as vital as the subject itself, inviting viewers to reconstruct the narrative through their own sensibilities, without the need for words.

The creation of his “Human of Glass” series in 2020 marked a turning point, earning him recognition from collectors and galleries worldwide. What began as a lone figure on a gray background has evolved into a vibrant, multifaceted universe filled with childhood memories, pop culture references, and an explosion of color—allowing viewers to both interpret and identify with the character in their own unique way.

Flog has had the privilege of exhibiting his work across Europe, the United States, and Asia, building a growing international collector base.
