Founded in 1986, Galería Quetzalli has become one of the epicenters of Mexican art and a point of reference for international collectors. The renowned signatures of Rufino Tamayo, Francisco Toledo and Rodolfo Morales have nurtured the walls of this venue since its inception. A careful curatorial selection -which seeks a balance between tradition and avant-garde- takes place every year in its dozens of exhibitions, which present the work of both established and emerging artists.  

Symbolic and abstract art (as well as mythological and artisanal manifestations, without forgetting the Oaxacan School of Painting, graphic art), sculpture and new trends in contemporary art, photography and design, have been showcased at Galería Quetzalli to provide the spectator with a panoramic and plural vision of the creative landscape. 

In addition to being a space for the exhibition, purchase and diffusion of art, the gallery has established itself as an authentic cultural center in Oaxaca, probably the city in Latin America with the greatest dynamism between art and culture. During the last few years, Galería Quetzalli has published art catalogs, hosted talks and conferences, and promoted activities around aesthetic reflection, fostering a very interesting synergy between artwork, artist and public.
