Flávia Albuquerque, ahead of Celma Albuquerque Galeria de Arte for 20 years, and Lucas Albuquerque, the third generation of gallery owners in the family, have inaugurated Albuquerque Contemporânea at the nforgettable address at Rua Antônio de Albuquerque, 885, in Belo Horizonte. The new gallery operates in the primary art market, mobilizing the circulation and appreciation of established and upcoming artists. Its focus is on articulating with institutions, artistic programs, collections and curators, in addition to creating bridges between the local and the global through fairs, projects and international partnerships.

Certain of the potential of Belo Horizonte and Minas Gerais as cultural centers of global relevance, part of Albuquerque Contemporânea’s mission is to contribute to expanding this recognition and appreciation, projecting artistic production from Minas Gerais in the national and global field.
