Aninat Galería is a Chilean contemporary art gallery founded by Isabel Aninat, a graduate in Philosophy and Aesthetics. In 1982, in the context of the Pinochet dictatorship, she created a space that aims to generate a platform for debate, commercialization and critical reflection on contemporary art and new media in Santiago de Chile.
The gallery represents established and emerging artists whose conceptual practices are engaged in research related to social realities, politics and contingent issues. Through its annual program, Aninat Galería seeks to rediscover and value the work of little-known, paradigm-shifting, historical artists. Aninat Gallery is currently directed by Javiera García-Huidobro and Isabel Aninat.
